This Privacy Policy explains how VliskSync (“we”, “us”, or “the App”) handles information when you use our iOS application. Please read it carefully. By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described here.
VliskSync does not require email/password registration or third-party OAuth. Tapping the login action marks a local signed-in state on your device. A lightweight local token/flag may be stored in UserDefaults solely to remember that you have entered the App.
If you buy consumable coin packs, Apple processes the payment via StoreKit. We record locally that coins were granted (product id, coin amount, balance, and transaction bookkeeping). We do not receive your full payment card details.
Standard iOS networking may expose IP address and device/OS characteristics to our image-generation service provider when you request AI-assisted summit imagery. We do not operate a separate analytics or advertising SDK in the current App build.
Local (default): Trek records, gear, pack items, drafts, profile, coin balance, images, and voice memo files are stored on your device (Documents sandbox and UserDefaults). They remain under your control unless you delete the App or use Delete Account.
Server / third-party: When you generate a summit image without uploading your own photo, a text prompt (based on route name, weather, and terrain you entered) is sent to an external image-generation API. The returned image may then be saved locally on your device. We do not operate a general cloud sync account for your trek library in the current build.
Optional AI-assisted summit image generation uses third-party image models via an external API. Prompts may include your peak/route name and selected weather/terrain labels. Generated images are stored locally as part of your trek record when generation succeeds. If generation fails, the App may fall back to a local template-style card without a remote image.
AI output may be inaccurate or generic. Do not rely on generated imagery as a factual depiction of a specific place or event.

You can revoke permissions in iOS Settings. Features that need a revoked permission will stop working until access is restored.
The current App build does not integrate Adjust, Facebook SDK, Firebase Analytics, or App Tracking Transparency (ATT) advertising frameworks.
We do not sell your personal information. Data may be processed by:
Sharing a summit card or exporting media is initiated by you through system share sheets or saving to Photos.
Local data remains until you delete individual records, clear related files, delete your account in-app, or uninstall the App. Coin balances and login flags stored in UserDefaults are cleared as part of account deletion. Remote image-generation providers may retain technical logs under their own policies for a limited period.
Profile → Delete Account requires typing DELETE to confirm. This clears local business data (records, gear, pack list, drafts, profile content, images/audio files, coin balance) and returns you to the login screen. Because there is no cloud account sync, deletion is primarily a local wipe. Purchases already completed with Apple remain subject to Apple’s policies and are not “restored” as coin balances after wipe.
We use the iOS app sandbox for files and standard HTTPS for network calls to the image API. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Protect your device with a passcode or biometric lock.
VliskSync is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us to request deletion of local content guidance.
The App is offered to users internationally. If you use AI image generation, your prompt data may be processed on servers outside your country. By using those features, you consent to such processing as described here.
Because we do not use ATT-based advertising SDKs in the current build, there is no in-app tracking permission prompt for ads.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
